marco, Polo.

There is something so chic about a Polo Player hat. It makes me want every day to be a bad hair day. To me, it's class, sophistication, style, and flair can be distinguished anywhere. It's effortless, and that's what I love.

I think this hat should be added to every woman's wardrobe. While Nina Garcia's book The One Hundred definitely gave our closets some insight, I believe she left out one little beacon of classic American style: a Polo Player Hat.

Sarah Jessica Parker to endorse Halson

While carousing Google images of inspirations as to WHY I need to inhabit the gym everyday, I noticed that Sarah Jessica Parker is to be the new face of Halston's Spring 2010 collection. She has done similar campaigns for Gap (remember the Pretty Khaki commercials, and the one about gifts?)and Garnier.

Not that we need to be reminded that SJP is a fashion icon of today and a major asset to any endorsement deal, she might be just what the doctor ordered for Halston, the revived american fashion house of the 1970s. She was spotted wearing a dress from the Halston Heritage Spring 2010 collection on the set of SATC the sequel ....excited aren't we?? Let's just keep our pretty khakis on until May.

the potential in NOVA

Lately, I've noticed that Washington, DC is making fashion more relevant with each day. I looovee it. With events like Fashion Fights Poverty, and various fashion shows raising awarenes to issues like sustainable fashion, DC and it's surrounding areas have become the epicenter of it.

I don't know if you've noticed it, but Tysons Corner Center for one has been undergoing a major facelift for the past seven years. Growing up in this area, I remember Mommy snatching my little 5 year old frame out of my bed at 9 in the morning to go and praise the gods of high-quality fashion at Nordstrom and Bloomingdales. You would think we were going to some kind of church or mosque ..I mean, this woman was serious about her high-quality. (I think that's where I get my affinity for cashmeres and merinos instead of the dreaded cotton blends and names of manufactured fabrics I cannot even pronnounce).

I am going to document this change, revolution, rather, of the Greater Washington Area and most specifically, NOVA (Northern Virginia). I mean, for Tim Gunn to come back here and host fashion shows is something that anyone up on fashion cold appreciate. I have been watching the upscale store openings, sexy store layouts, the outstanding merchandising, and just the way that they -- Tysons Corner and Fair Oaks specifically -- get the public out there to want to spend money in the recession. It's divine. Through glamourGrammour, you can look through my glass and see what I see. So legendary.
